Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes The DPA's (The Dating Pool App) policies and procedures when it comes to handling customer data.

If you believe there to be a breach in our privacy policy or an issue with the enforcement of this privacy policy please contact us at :  support-tower at the-dpa dot com

The DPA greatly values privacy. We know that the data you submit to participate in The DPA Service is highly private. This data is respected and only used for The DPA Service. We take many steps to decrease the probability of user data being compromised, and if ever compromised, that data should not be easily connected to your identity. We only deal with three service providers: one hosts our servers, and the other two process our payments. We do not use any other third-parties. There are no social media companies involved, and your data will never be sold.

1. Collection of Information

1.1. Information you provide to us: The majority of the data we collect is data that you submitted to us.

a. Website - When you visit and view our website, there is no option to provide us with any information so there is no information we collect.

b. Application Use (Usage Data) - when you use The DPA Services, Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. There are five major categories that we categorized data in when it comes to Usage Data. This is all information that you provide to us to be able to participate in The DPA Service. All of the data is saved to our servers;

  1. Profile Data - all personal data submitted to create account.
  2. Profile Images - all images submitted
  3. Dating Pools - all character data submitted
  4. Judging - the ratings, judgement, and reports submitted.
  5. Matches - all matches and encrypted messages.

*. If you are accessing The DPA on a mobile device through an app downloaded onto the device from the Play Store or iTunes Store, some data is kept on that device instead of on our servers. You are given the choice to store some of that data on our servers if you want to.

**If you are using the web application that is accessed via the internet where no download is required, then the application runs in the browser so the majority of the data is stored on our servers.

1.2. Information we collect automatically - When you access The DPA Service, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of device you use, your device's unique ID, the IP address of your device, your operating system, the type of Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

1.3. Third-Parties - We use two main categories of third-party service providers. One service provider provides the infrastructure that The DPA is built on (ex. servers) and the other type of service providers are payment processors.

a. Checkout & Purchase - When you start the checkout process and complete your purchase you are required to submit your email address and payment information. We use 3rd party payment processors. All information that is entered during checkout is collected by those 3rd party payment processors to process your payment. They may also collect additional information including but not limited to your IP address.

We do not use cookies on our website. We do not save your payment information for recurring billing. We use the email address you provided to create your account.

  1. Email Address - The email address submitted is collected.
  2. Payment Information - We do not collect or save your payment information. Because of this, we do not offer automatic renewal. You will need to manually renew your subscription if you want to extend it.
  3. Order History - We save all failed, processed, and completed orders. Order history contains the email address, product name, payment type, invoice number created, along with any other miscellaneous data provided by the payment processor for that transaction.

2. Use of Information

2.1. Checkout & Purchase

a. Data from section 1.3.a.iii. Order History is used to create an account and manage subscriptions.

b. Data from section 1.3.a.i. Email is used to create an account and communicate to you.

2.2. Application Use - from Section 1.1.c.

Usage Data from Profile Data, Profile Images, Judging, and Matches are used to provide and manage the service you subscribe to.
Data from the Profile Data section and Dating Pools section is used each week in the drawing to find your match, but after each drawing, we analyze all the Dating Pool Characters that were submitted to the drawing. With those results, we are able to identify the most desired traits and features amongst the user for that specific drawing. We then use that data to form generalized suggestions that we can then provide to the user so they may choose to take that information into consideration when adjusting their profile to potentially increase their probability of getting a match. The results that are found are never shared with or sold to any outside company.

2.3. Sharing Data or Information - We do not share or sell any data or information with any company that is not an active participant in the operation of The DPA.

3. Disclosure of Information

3.1. Service Providers - We disclose certain information for certain purposes to third parties. We use three third-party service providers:

a. Hardware/Software Infrastructure - This service provider handles all data since they own the hardware and software.

b. Payment Processor - The payment processor handles the transaction when you purchase your subscription. All the data you submit is processed by them to complete your order.

4. Your Choices

4.1. Email - There is no option to unsubscribe since we only use email communication to send out service-related correspondence. We do not use email for promotions or marketing.

4.2 Push Notifications - Some mobile devices may implement push notifications depending on the app used. Push notifications can be managed on your mobile device's settings functionality to turn them off.

5. Cookies and Internet Advertising

5.1. Cookies - One of our service providers may use cookies when it comes to the checkout process, but during normal operation of the website and all apps, we do not use any cookies. Cookies are small data files that are commonly stored on your device when you browse and use websites and online services. They are normally used for authorization and identification which can then be used to identify and collect user activity and patterns, which can then be used for specialized advertising.

5.2. Advertising - We do not use cookies, and we do not analyze user data for advertising.

The only information that cannot be deleted between you and The DPA is the transactional data which includes; email address, payment type, payment amount, date, IP address, and other transactional information you would find on an invoice.

7. Security

7.1. General Securtiy - We use reasonable administrative, logical, physical, and managerial measures to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, use, and modification. These measures are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risks of processing your personal information. Unfortunately, no measures can be guaranteed to provide 100% security. Accordingly, we cannot 100% guarantee the security of your personal information.
