This is the Frequently Asked Questions Page. The Dating Pool App does not have a
customer support team as to keep the cost as low as possible. With that said,
self-help is highly recommended and promoted. Most of the questions we receive
are updated to this page. Most issues should be addressed below and provide a means
of mitigating or solving your problem. If not, please submit a Report form with
customer support selected as the category on The Dating Pool App.

How the App Works
General
- How does it work? Q94
Once per week, on Sunday night @ 23:00 UTC, there is a Drawing. This Drawing has 5 different Pools. Each user submits tokens to put their data into the Pools. Tokens for Pools 1 & 2 are given. Tokens for Pools 3, 4, & 5 are earned. To earn tokens, users rate and verify other users' photos. This helps the app be self-managed while giving users feedback on their images. We will try to have the matching process finished before the following Tuesday @ 1500 UTC in hopes of allowing for enough time to plan a date for the upcoming weekend.
The data from the “Profile Data” section is put into the pools. It is the data being searched. The “Pools” or “Dating Pools” section is where the Pool Characters are located. Characters represent the search criteria. They are used to search the pools to find a match. The “Profile Image” section is used for a user's profile when they get a match, and to verify a user's account in the Judging process. The “Judging” section is where user images are judged at random while remaining anonymous. This is how tokens are earned. The “Matches” section is where users can see and message their matches.
The DPA matching process is designed to be low-frequency, high-quality, and passive. Passive meaning the user does not actively participate in the matching process and requires less time from the user. Users only need to spend 5 minutes per week on the app to participate in all five pools. The DPA is not designed like the other “dating apps” that have an “active” matching process that requires you to continually swipe and invest more and more time and or money.
- What should I do before I purchase? Q95
First, you should take a look at our checkoff sheet. This helps you assess your situation: what is your timeline, what kind of relationship are looking for, are you ready for a relationship, etc… This helps prepare you so you know exactly what subscription to get and how to utilize the app as soon as you start.
- How do I get started? Q96
Once you have taken a look at the checkoff sheet, you should know which subscription you need. Get started by purchasing a subscription. You have the choice of paying with cryptocurrency or by other means, which may change over time but will be labeled “Other”. Once your purchase is completed, you will receive an email with a temporary password. Use your email address and temporary password to login to the mobile or web app. You will be prompted to create a new password. Once you are logged in, you should see the home screen that has five buttons: Data, Images, Pools, Judging, and Matches. Start at the top and work your way down. First start with Data. Make sure all the circles in the Data section are green. Then move on to Images. Upload a minimum of 3 images. Then move on to Pools. Create all five of your characters. Then you are ready to submit and earn tokens. All the specific details about each section are below.
- What does the process look like? Q97
1. Create Account - create your profile by submitting personal details like age and height, along with taking quizzes to determine your personality and relationship style.
2. Add Images - A minimum of three images is needed, with a maximum of five images allowed. Images should be in portrait mode and have a file type of jpg.
3. Create your Characters - Characters represent your perfect partner. These are the requirements a user must meet to be able to match with you. Think of Characters as your search criteria.
4. Submit Tokens - For the weekly drawing, the first two tokens are given. The other three are earned by judging other users' images which helps to verify accounts and provide feedback to those users on how other people perceive their images. The drawing happens each week, and you must submit your tokens each week. Each pool has its own token. When tokens are submitted, your data and character for that pool are submitted.
5. Get Matches - No one can see your profile data unless they match with you. To get a match, a user must meet your requirements, and you must meet their requirements. Once you get a match, both users will verify the match. Once verified, both users will be able to message one another and see each other's profile images and data.
- How should I setup my account? Q98
We have an entire page that will explain each section and category - https://thedatingpoolapp.com/howto.html
Data
- How do I login? Q1
To log in, you must first purchase a subscription. That process can be started on the pricing page. Once you purchase a subscription, you will receive an email after your payment is successfully processed. Follow the instructions in the email to log in.
- I changed my character but matched with someone that doesn't match that character. Q2
Your characters are submitted to the pool when you complete a Judging session. If you change your characters after you already completed judging, those changes will not take place for that week of the Pool Drawing. The changes will take place the following week when you resubmit your judging tokens.
- What kind of data is required for The Dating Pool App and what is it used for? Q3
There are three main data categories. The first is profile data. This is all the information about yourself. This is the 40+ characteristics that make up your profile that your matches will see. In this area, you will see each section turn from red to green once the section is completed. The second section is images. You must upload a minimum of three images to participate in the Dating Pool App. Lastly is the characters. These are the kind of people you want to match with. You select what exactly you desire when it comes to finding your person.
- What does TND stand for? Q4
Till Next Drawing. This is shown after the time on the homepage of the app. This time represents how much time till the next drawing.
- What kind of encryption do you use? Q5
We use End-to-End-Encryption(E2EE) for all user messages. We use a combination of RSA and AES encryption schemes. Both Web and Mobile offer true E2EE.
- What is the calculator in the Profile Data section? Q6
This calculator requires measurements of your chest, waist, and hips; your height and weight; and what your daily routine is like. Your BMI and Waist-to-Height Ratio are calculated and assigned a health category. It will also use the measurement to calculate your body shape. All data entered into this calculator never leaves your computer or device. The only thing that leaves your device is the final category and body shape calculated.
- What is Quiz1 in the Profile Data section? Q7
o Quiz1 is used to assign a personality type to you. This is one of the more important things when it comes to your match quality. When you take this quiz, you should be completely honest with yourself and be in a neutral/happy mood. Whatever your normal/average state is. Answer all the questions honestly. The answers are sent to our servers, we process the data, and a certain personality is assigned to your account. This quiz can only be taken once every 90 days.
- What is Quiz2 in the Profile Data section? Q8
Quiz2 is designed to figure out what your relationship style is. Everyone has their own perspectives and beliefs. This was initially based on politics, but as we did more research, it was not a good approach since men and women, on average, tend to be more different than similar in political beliefs so no one would ever match. So, we broke it down further into core concepts that touched on daily life and expectations of their partner. We believe this would be more effective at creating quality matches.
- What data is visible to the public? Q9
The most publicly visible data is your images. Understand, that your images cannot be seen or ever accessed outside of the app. First, only active users who have purchased a subscription can see images. Secondly, only users who are attracted to your sex will have the opportunity to randomly see (judge) your image (a male attracted to females will only see female pictures to judge). Third, users do not get to request or search for your images. The only time your image is “publicly” shown is to a paying participant of the Dating Pool App, which randomly judges a group of images to earn their token. We've estimated that each image should be served 2 to 5 times per week. Your name is never shown or shared and neither is any of your data. People judging you only see your image, nothing else.
- How do I confirm that it saved successfully? Q10
We have most things set up to save automatically without you being required to press save. If there was an issue with saving, you would be notified with an error notification. If you do not have an internet connection, then it will not save properly on the web app. If you do not have internet access while using the mobile app, it will save the data locally to your phone. You will need internet access to judge and submit tokens.
- How can I preview my profile to make sure only the data I want to show is there? Q11
You can preview your profile in the “Profile Data” section under “Profile Info” > View Profile. Then click on “Details”. This is what your profile will look like to a match. Characteristics that you want private should be empty. If they are not empty, they need to be made Private. This can be done by going to “Profile Info” > “Edit Data Visibility”. If you want the characteristic to be private, make sure it is grey and click “Save”. Then confirm by going to “View Profile” > “Details”. Make sure you have an internet connection when doing this.
- Who can view my profile? Q12
Only users that have matched with you can view your profile. This means that they matched your requirements, and you matched their requirements. The match also has to be authenticated before they can see your images. Profile details are visible before the match is authenticated. If you delete a match, they will no longer be able to view your profile.
- How can I update my password? Q13
We have two different kinds of passwords on the Dating Pool App. We have an Encryption password and an Account password. The encryption password is used for encryption and is needed to view your images and open matches. The account password is for logging into the app. You can update your account password by going to “Profile Data” and scrolling to the bottom of the page, under “Account Data” > “Password Settings”. To change this password, you will need access to the email account it was created with.
To update your encryption password, WARNING, resetting this password will make all previous chat messages inaccessible. Your matches will not be affected, but you will not be able to access any previous messages. If you wish to continue, go to “Profile Data” > “Profile Info” > “Account Encryption”. Then press “Reset”. This will require you to create a new password. Try not to lose it.
- How can I update my account subscription? Q14
This is answered in-depth on question 69 (search for Q69). The only way to upgrade an account is to purchase and renew a subscription. As long as you use the exact same email address to purchase the “new” subscription, it will update your current account and add the 183 days to your subscription plus the prorated time you had left of your current subscription.
- How can I delete my account? Q15
You can delete your account by going to “Profile Data” and scrolling to the bottom, under “Account Data” > “Delete”. There it will give you the option to delete your data and your account.
Images
- What are my images used for? Q16
Your images are used for a couple of different things. First and most importantly, they are used to show your match what you look like. Secondly, they are used to help verify your account. Your images are shown at random to other users in the Judging section. In the Judging section, they will be judged and rated to give you feedback on how other users perceive your images. Doing this provides you feedback, and also allows for your account to be audited. If images look out of place or don't follow the standards, then the user can report the image. This helps us combat fake and/or malicious accounts.
- How do I upload images? Q17
To upload an image, go to “Profile Images”. For your account to be verified as “complete”, the first three image slots need to have images. If an image slot does not have an image, click “Add Image”. This will allow you to add an image. If an image already exists and you wish to replace it, click “Edit”. This will allow you to upload a new image.
- What are the image requirements? Q18
Images need to be JPEG when it comes to file format. All images are required to be cropped to a 9:16 aspect ratio. All images will be in “Portrait” mode. If possible, use the highest quality image you have. We scale and resize the image as needed to compress it down to a manageable size. To achieve the best results, we value dimensions over dpi. An image that is 1350x2400 with a dpi of 72 has the potential to look better than an image that is 720x1280 with a dpi of 200. Most phones and cameras will provide an adequate image, but if you want to go the extra mile, that is how you do it.
- What are the image rules and standards? Q19
We have our own standards when it comes to acceptable images on The Dating Pool App. They are as follows:
- AI or Animated Characters are not acceptable. This includes any AI-generated image or animated/cartoon-style character.
- Nudity is not tolerated. Nudity includes but is not limited to; content showing, or engaging in sexual intercourse; genitals; fully nude buttocks; or unclothed individuals.
- Marketing content is not tolerated. Marketing content includes but is not limited to; advertisement for a brand, product, or service; or product placement.
- Low-quality images. Low-quality images are images that appear pixelated and/or may have an unrecognizable person in the image.
- Spam/Phishing Images. Images that do not seem correct; normally a lower quality image; and/or a stock photo that represents a different individual.
Any image that is reported three or more times will be reviewed by The Dating Pool App. Action will be taken at our sole discretion depending on the severity. All users are above the age of 18, so everyone is an adult and will be responsible for the images on their account. If a user does not blatantly ignore the rules, then we will likely give a warning to the user. If the rules are completely ignored and/or an image is blatantly unacceptable the account will be terminated.
- Where do images appear? Q20
Images are shown on your profile to your matches. Images are also shown at random to those who participate in the Judging section.
- How to preview your images? Q21
You can see how your images look in two places. If you just uploaded an image, you can view it on that page by clicking/tapping on the image itself (not on the trash icon). This will expand the image to its full size. You can also see your images if you go to “Profile Data” > “View Profile”. This will show you how your account looks to your matches.
- How can I change the order of the images on my profile? Q78
If you wish to change the order of the images on your profile, you will need to delete and re-add them in the order you desire. This will delete all ratings for each image that is deleted. The first image shown on your profile is the top image on the Profile Image page.
- How to delete an image? Q22
You can delete an image by going to the “Profile Image” page and locating the trash icon in the bottom left corner of the image you wish to delete. When an image is deleted, the rating data will also be deleted.
- What are the numbers that are next to my images? Q24
This is a rating. There are two ratings for each image. These are produced by other users judging your images. “A” stands for Attractiveness which means how attractive you appear to the user that judged that image, and “PQ” stands for Picture Quality which is meant as a way to say “This is a good picture of you” or “This picture is bad and you should replace it”. “A” will be a number, and “PQ” will be a word. “A” is on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 meaning unattractive, and 10 being very attractive. “PQ” is also rated on a scale of 1 to 10 but a word will be shown as follows; Poor = average rating below 4 (should be replaced); Acceptable = average rating between 4 and 6.99; Excellent = average rating above 7.
All of this is just to give you feedback on your images on how other random people perceive your images. You can choose to do what you want with that information. If you have an image that has a PQ rating of Poor, but you really like that image, then keep it! It is completely up to you.
- How are the numbers calculated for the ratings on images? Q25
The numbers are calculated by taking the total score of the image and dividing it by the total number of ratings. So, if you have an image that has a score of 100 and was judged ten times, then it would have a rating of 10 (a perfect score) which means all 10 users that judged that image gave it a ten. But for a realistic scenario, an image may have a score of 190 that has been judged 25 times which would equate to a 7.6 (190/25). This would be the average. Some people may have rated that image a 4 or a 5, while some may have even rated it a 10, but on average, most people rated it a 7 or an 8.
Pool Characters
- How many characters are there? Q26
There are a total of five characters, one for each pool (there are five pools). Characters are located in the “Pools” section. All five characters need to be completed to have your account go active so that you can participate in the Judging section.
- What are characters used for? Q27
Characters represent your perfect match/partner. You are creating your ideal partner. Think of it as your search criteria. With having five different Characters, there are different strategies on how to build your characters. When you submit your token to participate in the dating pool drawing, your character will also be sent. It's your way of saying “I want to match with someone that has these features”. View the Strategy/Theory tab to learn more about different strategies.
- How to copy a character? Q28
Go to the character you want to create/build/edit, NOT the one you want to copy. Example: You want to copy Character #1 to Character #2. Go to Character #2 > View/Edit that character, at the top of the page will be “Copy a Character from…”, click on that, and there will be a drop-down. Choose which character you want to copy. Double-check everything, and save at the bottom of the page.
- Is there an easier way to create all five characters? Q77
Yes. We designed it so that, in theory, you would create your perfect partner for Character #1. Then you would go to Character #2, and copy Character #1 to Character #2 with the copy option at the top of the page. Then edit Character #2 (if desired). Then go to Character #3. Copy Character #1 or Character #2 to Character #3. Edit if desired. And continue on that way. This way you only need to make minor modifications or changes to each character after building the first Character instead of re-selecting all options for each and every character. If you would like to play with the creation of a Character, please view our Character Creator page.
- What is Character Personality? Q99
This is the personality of your Character (your desired match). We automatically calculate a personality type that best matches your personality type from Quiz #1 in the Data Section. This page allows you to adjust the default personality type of your Character that we set for you. A personality type is created from four different traits. Each trait has two options that are opposite from each other. This creates 16 different personality types.
- Is it okay to change the Character Personality? Q100
Yes. Everyone has their own desires and beliefs. We provide information and recommendations to help assist you with understanding how it works. If you are unsure about making changes then you do not have to make changes. We automatically calculate a personality so that it has the highest probability of creating a quality match for you. This feature is for those who have done a little research and specifically know what they want.
- Can my Characters have different personalities? Q101
Yes. Each Pool Character has its own details. Making a change to one Character does not affect other Characters. The only time a Character will make changes to another Character is when you copy a Character from a different Pool. You have the option to assign the same personality type to all your Characters, or each Character can have their own unique personality type. This is up to you.
- Can a Character have multiple personalities? Q102
Pool #1 and Pool #2 Characters can only have one personality type. This means only one option can be chosen for each of the four personality traits. For Pools #3, #4, & #5, you have the ability to choose two options for one of the four personality traits. This allows you to have two personality types for a single Character. This greatly increases your odds. There will be a checkbox under each trait. Choose the trait that you want both options, and check the box for that trait. If you do not wish to have two personality types, you do not have to. Leave the boxes unchecked.
- What is the location meant for on a Character? Q29
If you have a National, or Worldwide subscription, you will see the location option. This is where you set the location of your character/potential-match. These are the locations you are willing to search for your partner. Example: If you live in Zone 25 and don't want to drive a long distance to see your match, then choose Zone 21, Zone 24, and Zone 26. If you are willing to match with others around the world, then choose the Zones you desire to search for your match.
- How to set the location for a character? Q30
From the home screen go to “Pools” > select the pool number > select the green “View/Edit…” button. This should bring you to the Character Creation page. If you have an Economy or Local subscription, you will not see a location option. If you have a National or Worldwide subscription you will see the location option. The location option will be located above the “Age” category and beneath the explainer. To edit the location; click on the button to edit; at the top of the page will be a drop-down menu for the Region. If you have a Global subscription it will allow you to select all the different regions. Make sure a region is selected. If a region is selected, you will see a map with numbered buttons below the map. The numbers are the zones. Look at the map and find a zone you wish to have your character search, locate that number below the map and click/tap it. It should turn green. If a number is green, it is selected. Once you are done, click the green checkmark in the upper right corner. It will save and bring you back to the Character Creation page. Make sure to save your character after changing the location by scrolling to the bottom of the screen and clicking “Save”.
- What does the number mean between the plus and minus button on the map page? Q80
This is how many zones are currently selected. For users with the Worldwide account, they may be searching multiple zones and this helps them know how many they have selected in total. The Worldwide subscription is limited to 220 zones. If a user desires more, they can purchase the Worldwide Plus subscription.
- How to think when selecting attributes for your character. Q31
When you create your character, you need to understand how the system works. Your character is acting as your search criteria for the person you want to match with. The best way to explain this is to start with an example; if you want to match with someone that is between the ages of 20 and 22 (including 20 and 22) you would be searching for someone who is 20, 21, or 22. You should then select those three options. Then with height, if you wanted to match with someone that was 5'6”, 5'7”, or 5'8”, you would select those three options. So now, you are willing to match with anyone that is either 20, or 21, or 22 years old AND is 5'6”, or 5'7”, or 5'8” tall. This means they can be 20 and 5'8” or 22 and 5'7”.
We say to think “or” when making your selections as shown in the wording of the example. If you would like to play with the creation of a Character, please view our Character Creator page.
- What if I do not know what something means? Q81
Most complex or controversial topics or wording will have a blue button in the upper right corner. This will give you our definition. Some users may not agree with our definitions or explanations of certain topics or categories, but these definitions and explanations are the standard that will be used. These standards are used so that the language can be translated to multiple languages which allows everyone, worldwide, to function off the same understanding of the words and phrases used. Even if you do not agree with our definitions, use our definitions to properly match with other users. If you use your own definitions, you will match with others who will not possess the characteristics you desire.
- If I already set the location, what is the option about Match Location? Q79
The Character category “Match Location” is located at the very bottom of the Character page and has three different options; Local, National, and Global. This is used to determine who you are willing to match with when it comes to where they are from and located.
Example: You have a Local subscription and are located in Zone 25. With a Local subscription, you can only search your zone, but other users are searching your zone. Let's say there is another user located in Zone 27 that has a National subscription and is searching your zone. If you choose the “Local” option for “Match Location” you will not match with this user because they are not from your zone. They are from Zone 27 and you are in Zone 25. If you chose the “National” option for “Match Location” then you would match with them because you are in Zone 25 which is located in the United States and so is Zone 27. If a user was located in Zone 232 (Germany) you would have to choose “Worldwide” to be able to match with them.
In short, if you only want to match with those located in your zone, choose Local; If you want to match with people that are outside of your zone but in your country, choose National; if you want to match with people outside of your country, choose Global. For most, selecting Local & National is common. If you only select one, then that is the only type of people you will match with. Example: Same as above, Local subscription in Zone 25. If for some reason you don't want to match with anyone in your zone, you could choose not to select “Local” and only select “National” and/or “Global”. This would prevent you from matching with anyone in your zone but allow you to match with someone who is searching your zone but is not from your zone.
If you have a National or Worldwide subscription, it would be beneficial to have all three selected.
- What if I don't know what type of body shape I want for my characters? Q86
Body shape can be misunderstood and misinterpreted if you have not done enough research to understand it. It is very much correlated with the health categories. If you do not know exactly what you want, we suggest choosing more options rather than fewer options. Rely on the health section instead. Choosing fewer options without fully understanding them can lead to situations where you are guaranteed to not get a match as explained in Q88 called “Deadlock”. For example; you want someone that is in “Ideal Health” but has a body shape of “Round”. Those two are opposites, and little to no people would have that combination.
- What if I don't know what type of health categories I want for my characters? Q82
There are a couple of resources that we have created to help with those characteristics.
The Appearance Chart - which has the Waist Height Ratio Categories and the BMI categories next to one another to determine someone's health category for the purpose of this app.
The Health Chart - shows the ranges for both the Waist/Height Ratio and BMI.
The BMI Chart - is a chart that shows both males and females with height on one axis, and weight on the other. There are colored sections to show each category. This can be used to see how to improve your BMI or to see where you would like your match to be.
The Waist/Height Ratio Chart - is a chart that shows both males and females with height on one axis, and waist measurement on the other. There are colored sections to show each category. This can be used to see how to improve your Waist/Height Ratio or to see where you would like your match to be.
Judging
- What is judging used for? Q32
Judging is used for many things. It allows users to contribute to the app while also being rewarded for their contribution. Judging is used to provide feedback to users about their images for their profile. The Judging process also helps verify accounts. If images do not follow the standards set by The Dating Pool App they are reported. We manually check all reported images and it helps us catch fake and/or malicious accounts. Once an individual has judged 15 images, they are rewarded with a token. Tokens are used to unlock pools. For all users, Pool #1 and Pool #2 are given. Pool #3, #4, and #5 are earned. This way, those who don't want to judge still get to participate in the dating pool, and those who contribute additional time by judging get to participate in additional pools.
- How does judging work? Q33
Judging has two sections. The first section is used to verify a user's account. You will be shown three to five images. The images need to have the same person in all of them. At the top of the screen, you will have a question asking “Do all of the images below show the same person?”, and then at the bottom of the screen you will have a yes and no button. Based on the images you saw, press the button that is true.
The second part of the Judging process is where you rate the user's images. Each image will get two different ratings. The first rating (red colored buttons) is for attraction. How attractive do you find this person on a scale from one to ten with one being ugly and ten being very attractive. The second rating (blue colored buttons) is for picture quality. Think “Is this a good picture of this person? Does their outfit look good on them?” This is a polite way for you to be “rude”/honest to let them know, “Hey, you need a new photo” which would be a 1, or “I don't think you could post a better picture” being a 10.
After you are done judging, you will see a loading screen. It will send the data off and if everything is successful you will be redirected to the Judging home screen and you should see the “Tokens Submitted” change. If you plan to update your characters, make sure that you make changes to your characters before you start the judging process. If not, your old characters will be sent.
- What are tokens? Q34
Tokens are used to reward those who participate in the Judging process. Tokens are used to access pools. Tokens #1 and #2 are given. Tokens #3, #4, and #5 are earned. Token #1 opens Pool #1 and Token #4 opens Pool #4. Each week there is a drawing. Each week, tokens must be submitted. Tokens are not automatically submitted.
- How are tokens earned? Q35
Tokens are earned by participating in the Judging process. One round of Judging is verifying one account, and scoring/rating 10 images. That earns you one token. You can earn up to a total of three tokens.
- How are tokens submitted? Q36
If you participate in the Judging process, the token(s) are automatically submitted after you finish that round of Judging. This can be confirmed by looking at the “Tokens Submitted” number on the Judging home page between the two buttons. If you do not participate in the judging process you would need to click/tap the “Update Tokens” button. This will submit your two given tokens for the week. Again, to verify that they were successfully submitted, the “Tokens Submitted” should show “2 of 5”.
- Why do I have to manually submit my tokens each and every week? Q93
Token submission is not done automatically because we do not want inactive users participating in the pools. This would lead to matches that take away the opportunity for the active user to match with another active user.
- What is the first part of judging? Q37
- What is the second part of judging? Q38
The second part of the Judging process is where you rate other user's images.
- How should I rate images? Q39
You should only see images of the sex you are attracted to. We want you to be honest with your ratings. This is your way to potentially help somebody. This is a polite way for you to be “rude”/honest when you need to be. All you're doing is putting a number on it. It's not like you're leaving a nasty comment. You don't want to lie to someone and tell them that they look great when they're wearing a worn-out, stained V-neck that looks more like U. We would say act as if it was your best friend that said: “Hey, I need images for a dating profile is this a good one?”.
- When should I report images? Q40
Images should be reported if they do not follow the rules for images. These are the standards that all images must follow on The Dating Pool App:
- How do I report images? Q41
In the Judging section, images can be reported by using the “Report” button underneath the picture. This will be up a notification screen where you can select the reason for it and submit it.
- What happens to users that are reported? Q42
Images can be reported without issue. An issue arises when an image is reported three or more times. This triggers an event that notifies The Dating Pool App that there is something wrong with that specific image. We manually go over all images this happens to.
Matches
- How do I get matches? Q43
To get a match you need to submit your tokens in the judging section. The is required to participate in The Dating Pool App drawing that happens weekly. If you get a match you will see them in the Match section of the app. If you pull up the Match section and there are no new matches, then you did not get a match for this week. This drawing pairs users with other users based on each user's needs and features. It's the real dating pool. It is worldwide and forever evolving. We have our own strategies and theories on the process which can be viewed in the Strategy/Theory section, but we do not control it. It is the will of the users. We just made an interface and tried to make it available to most people around the world so that they had the opportunity to participate in the worldwide dating pool.
- Why am I not getting any Matches? Q89
This can be due to many factors. As of right now (November 2024) The Dating Pool App is growing and will need to grow a user base. This is why we extended the initial subscriptions past the end of the year.
This could also be because you do not fit the needs of others. You may need to improve yourself. Q55 and Q56 explain how to increase your odds of getting a match.
Another reason is that your characters may be too specific. This is also touched on in Q55 and Q56.
There is also a situation where you can cause “Deadlock” which is explained in Q88.
- No Matches = Deadlock Q88
Users have full control and freedom when it comes to creating their Characters. With all that freedom and few safeguards, some users may create a situation we refer to as “Deadlock”. This is when someone chooses to be very specific with their character and there is little to no possibility of a match. More specifically, it is when two opposing characteristics are paired together that are impossible to happen, or highly unlikely to have happened. A few examples;
A female character with an “Hourglass” body shape and a “Size A” bra size.
A male character with a “Round” body shape and a health category of “Ideal Health”.
A character with a race of “African” and a primary ethnicity of “Northwestern European”.
- Are my Characters too specific? Q90
We provide analytics on the performance of your characters so that you can re-evaluate them and adjust them as you see fit. We try to get this out to you on a monthly basis, if not more frequently, and you should see it in the “Notifications” tab in the “Profile Data” section. This will tell you the odds of getting a match with the characters you had the previous week.
- How do my matches update? Q44
If you want to try and update your matches to see if you have any new matches, all you need to do is visit the Match section. We normally try to get the drawing done before Tuesday @ 1500 UTC. This way you may have enough time to plan a date for the upcoming weekend. So try updating your matches on Wednesday just to double-check. It also wouldn't hurt to double-check on a Thursday or Friday just to make sure. We do not send data out to users. Users must request data, so that's why we would recommend double-checking just to make sure the drawing results weren't late.
- Why does it say the match needs to be authenticated? Q45
A match needs to be authenticated before images and messaging become available. We have both users “agree” to a match which leads to it being “authenticated”. We do this to establish the E2EE connection between the two users. This also makes sure that both users are active and allows for a little bit of privacy so that images are not immediately shared between the two. Profile details will be available so you can learn about the other person. Once both users see the match, the match will be authenticated. This means all images and profile details are visible and messaging can take place.
- How are matches authenticated? Q46
All you need to do is go to the “Matches” section, click on the match you want to verify and that's it. You did your part, now the other user needs to do the same thing you just did. Once they do, profile images and messaging will be available. While waiting, you can view their profile details to see what they are like.
- Can I still see my match's details if the match isn't authenticated? Q47
Yes. Once you verify the match on your end, you should see a button in the bottom left corner of the screen. That will bring up their profile data.
- Why are some characteristics empty or blank? Q48
On a user's profile, if the characteristic is blank they have chosen to keep that detail private. You can view this on your profile in “Profile Data” > “View Profile” > “Details”. Anything that you have selected as private will be blank. If you require a certain feature when it comes to your Pool Characters and you get a match that has a feature blank, you can rightfully assume that the blank feature will match your requirements. Example: You get a match in Pool#1 and your Pool #1 Character has two options selected for Debt; “None” and “Less than $5,000”. The match you just received that was from Pool #1 has their Debt characteristic blank. You can assume that they either have “None” or “Less than $5,000”. They cannot have any other option there or else you wouldn't have matched.
- What do the different colors mean next to the match name? Q49
Just to add a little bit of color to the interface, we assigned colors to the matches in certain pools. Pool #1 & Pool #2 are purple, Pool #3 & Pool #4 are green, and Pool #5 is blue.
- How do I delete or remove a match? Q50
To delete a match, go to the “Matches” section, and select the match you wish to delete. In the upper right-hand corner is a red button with a “!” exclamation mark. Press that. If you just want to delete that user, choose the orange button that says “Delete Match”. This will permanently delete this match and you will no longer have access to their profile and they will no longer have access to your profile.
- How can a match be reported? Q51
To report a match, go to the “Matches” section, and select the match you wish to report. In the upper right-hand corner is a red button with a “!” exclamation mark. Press that. You will see a red button and an orange button. The red button will say Report Match. If you choose to report a match, you will be presented with a popup asking for your reasoning. Once you select your reasoning and click the “Submit” button it will report the user and delete the match simultaneously.
- What if I match with a fake account? Q52
If you match with an account that you believe to be fake or fraudulent, you should report it as such. The Dating Pool App will manually review that report. If we agree with you, that account will be terminated and we will give you a special token. This special token is used to access Pool #6. You can learn more about Pool #6 by searching Q83. This will be our way of trying to correct the situation. Missing a potential match due to matching with a fraudulent account is not right. If you report a match as a fake account, and we do not agree with you, then that is a strike against your account. It should be blatantly obvious that the account is fake. If the account is blatantly not fake, we will presume that you are being malicious and trying to take advantage of the system and your account may be terminated.
- Pool6 Q83
Pool #6 functions as Pool #1, using your Pool #1 Character, but without all the competition. It has all the same participants as Pool #1, but only a handful of people are searching that pool. Only good-intentioned users get temporary access to this pool. Pool #6 is used in special-case scenarios where the user either missed a match opportunity due to a fake account or continually and consistently reports images that do not follow the rules. A user will never be notified of being inserted into this pool. The only way you would know if you participated in this pool would be if you got a match from it. The match color would be red. So, either you or the person you matched with was the good actor.
Strategy/Theory
- Is there a recommended strategy? Q53
The way we intended the system to work was that Pool #1 had your most perfect match/partner with no compromises and Pool #5 had your lowest acceptable quality when it came to a match/partner. So, we pictured Pools #1 & #2 to be the highest quality, Pools #3 & #4 to be a lower quality than #1 & #2, and then Pool #5 to be the lowest quality. Make no mistake that all matches should be up to your standard, but as you move down from Pool #1, you start to compromise little by little till you reach Pool #5 which is your lowest standard. For example: If you really find blond hair attractive, but also find dirty-blond hair slightly attractive, then maybe you set your Pool Characters so that Pools #1, #2, and #3 only have Blond selected, and then for Pools #4 and #5 you have both Blond and Dirty-Blond selected. If you want to play around with this, you can do it on your account or use the demo web app to play around with it.
Timing plays a large part in how you will build your characters - If you are not in a rush and you have time on your side, then you can be as picky and specific as you want.
If you feel that your time is limited, then you may have to compromise more than you would like when it comes to your match.
If you are interested in how to efficiently create your characters, search for Q55.
As far as strategy, there are only three things that influence your strategy:
1. What kind of demand is out there for you? Do you have desirable features that would attract the kind of person you are looking for? Either way, there is most likely something you can improve upon to make yourself look better when it comes to your profile statistics. Check Q55 if you're a male or Q56 if you're a female.
If you are in high demand, you have options. It makes things much easier.
If you are average or below average; work on improving yourself, people aren't going to be searching for you so bumping up to a national or worldwide subscription would increase your odds. Depending on your time horizon, if you have time, we would much rather see someone improve themselves so they do not have to lower their standards and try to force a relationship.
2. How specific are your characters? For reference, how many people have you recently met that fit 80% of your character's traits? If you've never met that person before, then you better be in high demand and not be in a rush when it comes to time. If you have high standards, you are going to need to meet the other person's high standards.
If you have reasonable Characters or a standard expectation, then we would say keep your standards and improve upon yourself to increase your probability of finding your person.
3. What's your timeline? 3 months? 6 months? 1 year? 2 years?
The shorter your time frame is, the less picky you can be when it comes to your standards. If you are not willing to budge on your standards, then you need to increase your value and increase your timeline if you want the probability of finding your person to increase.
Tips & Tricks
Try using free "dating" apps to improve your social skills. Use them to learn how to flirt and talk with others, what images work best for you, and get feedback from people so you can improve yourself.

- How to think when selecting attributes for your character. Q54
When selecting the attributes for your characters, understanding how the system works should help you better utilize the system. The way the system thinks is if you have eye color selected as brown, blue, and green; the system understands it as; “user1 is looking for a user with brown eyes, or blue eyes, or green eyes.” Then it adds the next category which is language. You select English and Spanish. So, the system then understands it as “user1 is looking for a user with brown eyes, or blue eyes, or green eyes AND they need to speak English or Spanish” so you have six different combinations that can happen.
- How to set up characters in a manner that aligns with the way The Dating Pool App was designed. Q87
The strategy we recommend is to use a stepped approach. We have a PDF (Character Creation Page) that you can print out with all the characteristics on it. This way you can mark out what you don't want. You could also play around in the demo web app, but if you accidentally refresh the page all your data is lost. We recommend using the printed-out sheet with the demo app or while you are logged in, so that way you can view the explanation of certain topics you have questions about while you fill out your paper.
1. Establish your standards. Decide which features you are not willing to match with. Put a line through all the features you know 100% you do not want to match with. You could also white them out, or use a black marker. Just remove them from view to make your decision-making process easier. This creates your base standard, ground zero, your bare minimum.
2. Use a highlighter and be as picky as you can be, choosing only one feature that you desire the most in each category. For this example, we used purple.
3. Now use a different color and go through each category and decide which options you would be pleased to have that you couldn't pick in step two. You would not view these as compromises but as the second-best option. For this example, we used green.
4. Lastly, use a different color and go through each category one last time. Look at each unmarked feature. If you lean more towards wanting it vs “I don't care” then mark it. For this example, we used blue.
Character #1 is all the features marked in purple.
Character #3 is all the features marked in purple and green
Character #5 is all the features marked in purple, green, and blue
Character #2 is the same as #1 or a mix between #1 and #3
Character #4 is the same as #3 or a mix between #3 and #5
The easiest way to build the characters in the app is to first build Character #1. Then go to Character #2 and use the copy option to copy Character #1 to Character #2. Make the changes needed if any. Then go to #3. Copy #2 to #3. Make the changes needed. Go to #4. Copy #3. Make any changes if needed. Go to #5. Copy #4. Make the changes needed.
If you would like to play with the creation of a Character, please view our Character Creator page.
Tips:
As with all the topics for your characters, choosing a single option will greatly reduce the number of people available in that pool. If a topic is not important to you, and/or you are unsure, it would be best to select more options rather than fewer options.
Secondary language - if you only put none, that limits you to users who only do not know a second language. If knowing a second language isn't a big deal to you, select the kind of languages that your perfect person may randomly know.
Ethnicity - if you only pick “unsure by user” then you will only search for people that don't know their ethnicity.
- How can I increase my odds of getting a match? (for men) Q55
Self-Improvement - There are some general guidelines that males can follow to increase their success. Most guys have heard of the rule of 6's. Height and length can't easily be changed but salary and health you can.
Get healthy - The first thing is to decrease your waist size and get it where it should be. This improves your body shape and your health. Once that is handled, work on building muscle.
Find your purpose - have a reason to get up every morning. Benefit humanity in some way, shape, or form. Do this and almost everything else will fall in place.
Get older - with age comes experience. Your demeanor and the way you carry yourself is an art. Your confidence and ability to handle certain situations goes beyond words.
Make more money - Earn a respectable salary that puts you at a minimum above average when it comes to your peers. It should not be the main feature you rely upon.
Improve your characters - go over Q87 to see if you can improve your characters.
- How can I increase my odds of getting a match? (for females) Q56
Self-Improvement - There are some general guidelines that females can follow to increase their success.
Purpose - envision your perfect partner and then think of some of the things they may desire in a woman. Also, think about your relationship style and what your partner would normally desire from you. Are they going to want kids? Do they want you to have your own career? Do they want you to have a certain level of education? Do they expect you to be religious; follow a certain diet; or care about if you drink, smoke, or have tattoos or piercings? Figure out what your perfect match desires and become that person if you want to greatly increase your odds.
Get healthy - When it comes to women and determining “health” there is only one known thing, and that is you will be incorrect according to somebody somewhere. *All terms parenthesized here in regards to Waist-Height Ratio, BMI, and Body-Shapes are in reference to our charts and definitions of each. In general, when it comes to females, the hourglass body shapes are the most desired. These would be the “Hourglass”, “Slight-Hourglass”, “Top-Hourglass”, and “Bottom-Hourglass”. If you desire to increase your odds, then decreasing your waist size if you have an “Overweight” or “Obese” BMI is the first step. Then getting your Waist-Height Ratio closer to “Ideal”, or even for some “Slim”, while keeping your BMI in the “Healthy” range will help with making you healthier while greatly increasing your odds. For some, we understand that you may be happy with your current body shape and health. This is only for those who seek to improve their odds in the matching process.
Purity - For females, as the number of sexual partners increases, the probability of getting a match decreases.
- How can I verify my match is a real person? Q57
This can be challenging. Your first impression is going to be their profile images, their profile details, and how they are messaging you. If something doesn't seem right, you can ask for them to prove who they say they are, or just delete the match if there's really something not right. Secondly, you can use social media profiles if they use them. Another way is to see if they use a chat app. When it comes to a chat app, our first choice is Signal. It does require a phone number for signup, which you could use a virtual number if you're worried about it, but you are able to use a username to communicate with others so that your number is not shared. Things may change so always do your research before making a decision. Using a chat app will allow you to communicate with them without giving your phone number out. Some chat apps have free video calls which would allow you to see if they match their profile images. You could also use a video chat program like Skype or others. If you decide to use a video chat program where you have to use an account, create an account specifically for these types of situations, meaning you created and used a generic email address that doesn't give away any personal information and isn't connected to anything important like your bank accounts or social media accounts.
You can also search public records to see if they exist or if they have a criminal record.
As we gain more users, suggestions are welcome, and we hope to update this answer with better strategies and methods.
- Do I get any feedback on how my account or characters are performing? Q84
Yes. About once a month, we analyze the pools. We do this so we can give users feedback on their characters. With so many different options and ways to adjust your characters, we would like you to know how they are performing. We wouldn't want you to go six months unknowingly having all of your Characters be a 1 in a trillion chance of matching with someone. We are fine with that ratio as long as you know about it, but we want to make you aware of your odds. So, we analyze your Pool #1, #3, and #5 Characters. We'll let you know what your odds are with the current user base during that specific week you receive them. Your strategy and timeline will affect what numbers are acceptable to you, but for most individuals, you want to be in that 1:10,000 to 1:100,000 range with your #3, #4, and #5 Characters. Your #1 and #2 Characters can be in the higher range of 1:1,000,000 or more, again, depending on your strategy and timeline.
Technical App Issues
- I am having issues with the web app. What can I do? Q58
The web app was originally designed to operate on popular browsers like Chrome. If you are experiencing issues, use the Chrome browser, and see if the issue continues. If you do not want to use a different browser, then the best way to handle an issue with the web app is to manually change the URL address to the home page. This link will differ depending on the server your account is on. Please visit the Account page on our website to find the correct link. Once you're on the homepage of the web app, you should not experience any issues. If you experience an issue, and it is repeatable, please report it through the app reporting system. If you cannot get anything to work, clear all cache and reload the home page. If the issue continues, reach out to us on our social media, preferably X ( formally Twitter).
- The mobile app won't load or let me change my data. What can I do? Q103
The issue has not occurred yet. If this happens, please let us know. This would most likely be caused by an update that took place where data is stored differently than the previous version of the app. The only way to fix this would be for us to update the app or for you to delete the app from your device, restart your device, and then re-install the mobile application. This will remove all the saved data on your device, and you will need to re-enter your data.
Subscription & Payment
- Is there an age limit? Q23
Yes. The age requirement is a minimum of 18 years old.
- Payment option: “Purchasing with Other”? Q104
We are still working on establishing a payment processor for credit cards at thedatingpoolapp.com. At times, we may have other payment options or promotions available. We have currently partnered with other websites so that a certain amount spent can qualify for a subscription here at The DPA. Some of the partnering websites offer digital products and services. Those digital products and/or services must be claimed before submitting a request for the promotional offer. Specific details and the form for submitting a request can be found on the Pricing Page. Once on the Pricing Page, select the country you desire, determine which subscription you want, and then select the “Purchasing with Other” button to get started.
- What should I do before joining? Q60
We believe you should have a solid understanding of yourself and what you want to accomplish in this life before you join. You should have a vision of how you would like your life to be and the things you want to accomplish. One of the main factors in our people-matching-equation is personality. If you don't know your values or what you believe in, it is going to be difficult for you to set up your account and match with the right person. So do a little self-improvement and reflection.
If you've established your values and goals, there are a couple of things to aim for before joining if you wish to save some time and money.
Get healthy. In short, both men and women, get your BMI in the healthy range. Men, get your Waist/Height-Ratio to Healthy or Ideal and put on some muscle. Women, for your Waist/Height-Ratio, aim for Ideal (or even Slim) due to the most desirable body shape being the hourglass shapes which requires a waist measurement smaller than the hips and chest.
Timing/Age
Men, you have some time to figure out what you want to do. Women tend to value your experience, character, and influence ($) which tends to increase with age.
Women, time works against you. The sooner you can decide on how you want to live your life, the better your odds will be here.
If you would like to play with the creation of a Character, please view our Character Creator page.
- I can not log in while I am traveling. Q61
You have to choose the correct app to log in to. Each app uses a different server, and your information is only on that server. If you are using the mobile app downloaded on your phone, you should not experience an issue. If you use the web application, locate the Accounts page, choose the region you purchased your subscription under, and you'll be able to log in. The connection will be slower because you are using a server located in that region.
- What information do you collect? Q62
Please read our Privacy Policy for the full details. In short, we use third-party payment processors that collect the data needed to process your payment. All the data is stored with them. When it comes to our servers, we store your email and all the data that is entered into the application. We do not use any marketing cookies or trackers.
- How long is a subscription? Q63
All subscriptions length are 183 days long, which is approximately 6 months.
- What payment options do you have? Q64
We have two payment options. The first option is with cryptocurrency. The second option is “Other”. We are continually looking at different payment options that make purchasing easier. The issue we run into is that “dating” is classified as being in the “adult industry” which is considered “high-risk”. Major card processors and popular wallets do not interact with businesses in the “adult industry”. As a temporary solution, we have partnered with another website so that a certain dollar amount spent there can qualify for a subscription here at The DPA. This allows customers to purchase with their card or wallet of choice. Details can be found on the Pricing Page.
- What about currency? Q66
All prices are advertised in USD. For cryptocurrency we accept Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Polygon (MATIC), and Solana (SOL).
- Why is there a price difference between Crypto and Other? Q92
We initially created our prices based on the standard payment processing rate of 2.9% + 30 cents. As we went to go live, our application for our payment processor got rejected due to us being a “high-risk” business because they classified dating as being in the “adult” industry. This made it apparent that we had to use a high-risk merchant and payment processors. These payment processors have increased fees over the standard base price which caused us to raise the price for those paying with card or other wallets. After months of trying, the “high-risk” payment processor considered us too high-risk for them. That didn't sit right with us, so we researched alternative payment methods. We decided to implement cryptocurrency. Crypto was new to us, but we are learning more and more as time progresses. We have an informational page on cryptocurrency if you are interested. We are still working on trying to find alternative payment options.
- What if I don't know anything about cryptocurrency? Q85
We have an entire page with a lot of good information on cryptocurrency. We would suggest reading that page first. After that, you should have enough information to start researching other topics, theories, or questions you may have. https://thedatingpoolapp.com/crypto.html
- Are there any additional fees to the price of a subscription? Q67
Please view our Terms and Conditions for the full details. There can be two different kinds of additional fees that are added to the advertised price. One would be a currency conversion fee if you choose to pay in your local currency and the other would be Sales-Tax/VAT/GST if applicable.
- How can I renew my account? Q68
You can renew your account as if you were purchasing a new subscription. When you go to purchase a “new subscription” make sure to use the same email address you originally created your account with, the one you are currently using. This will renew/extend your subscription length by 183 days.
- Can I change the location of my account? Q105
Yes and no. Your account has two different locations. The first location is the server your account is accessed from. This location can not be changed. An example: if you purchase a National Subscription for Server One (North America), your account can not be moved to Server Two (South America). You can change your subscription level, but your account is locked to that server (Server One). If you need to use a different server, you will need to create a new account with a different email address and select the correct server you wish to use. The second location is your profile location, which we call a "Zone". This is where you are located. This can be changed every three months. We understand that people move around but we also want to decrease malicious/abusive behavior by bad actors. If you constantly move around, select a location that applies to your circumstance and use your best judgment. You’ll likely have to explain to your matches why you set your location as you did.
- When will my account be created? Q65
Account creation depends on the payment method. We create the account once the funds are fully captured. For cryptocurrencies, it depends on the coin/token used. This can vary from 15 minutes to a couple of hours. All users will receive an email once their account is created. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours of purchasing, please contact us at _ support-tower at the-dpa dot com _ please use the email address you used to sign up with. The subject title must start with these 5 characters prMkq followed by "-Order-", (no spaces or quotations, with the exact same capitalization) followed by the payment method used: Crypto or Other. In the message of the email, give any additional information to help track your order like the time the order was placed, the exact amount, transaction ID, etc… We may reply to you, but in most circumstances, the situation will resolve, and the confirmation email will automatically be sent to you once the account is created. If you do not receive the confirmation email or a response from us in two business days, please send a new email and verify that you followed the directions above.
- Can I upgrade my account? Q69
Yes. The only way to upgrade an account is to purchase and renew a subscription. Below are the Pro-Rated Rates (prorated rates) for all subscription levels:
- Economy Subscription: Value#1 = .056 _ Value#2 = .082
- Local Subscription: Value#1 = .143 _ Value#2 = .196
- National Subscription: Value#1 = .179 _ Value#2 = .246
- Worldwide Subscription: Value#1 = .367 _ Value#2 = .491
- Worldwide Plus Subscription: Value#1 = .690 _ Value#2 = .918
Example: In this example, the date is May 5th and you want to renew your subscription. You have a Nation subscription with an expiration date of May 25th. You decide you want to upgrade to a Worldwide subscription. If you renew your subscription and upgrade it to a Worldwide subscription, this is how the price will be calculated:
May 25th minus May 5th = 20 days left of the current subscription.
Value#1 of current subscription level (National) = .179
Value#2 of new subscription level (Worldwide) = .491
Pro-Rated Days _ 7 = (20*.179)/.491
Total Length of new subscription _ 190 days = (183 days + 7 Pro-Rated days)
The new expiration date is November 11th (last day of service)
- Can I downgrade my account? Q70
Yes. The only way to downgrade an account is to purchase and renew a subscription.
Below is the Pro-Rated Rates for all subscription levels:
- Economy Subscription: Value#1 = .056 _ Value#2 = .082
- Local Subscription: Value#1 = .143 _ Value#2 = .196
- National Subscription: Value#1 = .179 _ Value#2 = .246
- Worldwide Subscription: Value#1 = .367 _ Value#2 = .491
- Worldwide Plus Subscription: Value#1 = .690 _ Value#2 = .918
Example: In this example, the date is May 5th and you want to renew your subscription. You have a Worldwide subscription with an expiration date of May 25th. You decide you want to downgrade to a National subscription. If you renew your subscription and downgrade it to a National subscription, this is how the price will be calculated:
May 25th minus May 5th = 20 days left of the current subscription.
Value#1 of current subscription level (Worldwide) = .367
Value#2 of new subscription level (National) = .246
Pro-Rated Days _ 30 = (20*.367)/.246
Total Length of new subscription _ 213 days = (183 days + 30 Pro-Rated days)
The new expiration date is December 4th (last day of service)
- Do you offer refunds? Q71
Our standard policy is that all purchases made are final and nonrefundable. However, we reserve the right to address any refund request and issue refunds in appropriate cases, within our sole discretion. All users are required to be 18 years old or older. With that, they are adults and should be responsible for their decisions. When a subscription is purchased, resources are consumed. Those resources are not free and cannot be “un-consumed”. We are a small business focusing on providing a quality service. We prioritize our energy on the functionality and effectiveness of the app rather than accommodating those who make a decision and lack the ability to be responsible for that decision. If we make a mistake we will correct it. We do our best to provide as much information as possible so the customer can make an informed decision.
- What happens when I delete my account? Q72
When you delete your account, all the data that you put into the account will be deleted (profile data, images, characters, matches, and messages). The only data that is not deleted is transactional data like your email and payment information for tax purposes. The account cannot be renewed after 14 days of the subscription being expired and a new account cannot be created with the email that was used. This can be viewed on the Terms and Conditions.
- What if I cancel the payment? Q73
If for any reason the payment is canceled or disputed, the status of the account will be void, and will deem the account terminated and unusable.
- Can I sell or purchase someone else's account? Q74
We do not permit the selling of an account. If someone offered to sell you their account, that account could have been denied service (banned), which you may not be aware of or told, and would be of no use to you. There is also no benefit in purchasing a used account in any way.
- If I have a Local subscription, can people from other zones or regions match with me? Q59
Yes. Q79 explains this topic in depth. To make a short description: Your subscription level decides which zones you can search. For a match to occur, there have to be two users. So only one user has to search to find the other. Each character has a “Match Location” category at the end. The options are “Local”, “National”, and “Global”. This allows you to be “found” by someone else who is outside your zone. If you only want to match with someone in your zone, choose Local. If you only want to match with users outside of your zone but in your country choose National, and if you want to match with users outside of your country choose Global. You can choose all three, two, or one depending on your needs.
- I purchased a subscription but haven't received an email. What do I do? Q91
You will receive an email once the payment funds are successfully captured and your account is created.
This time depends on the cryptocurrency used. Allow for a total of three hours for the transaction and account creation to complete.
If you used "Other", you must claim all digital products and services before submitting the form. Once the form is successfully submitted, it can take up to 24 hours to process the request.
If you do not receive an email within the allotted time frame above for your situation, then send us an email at support-tower at the-dpa dot com please use the email address you used to sign up with. The subject title must start with these 5 characters prMkq followed by "-Order-", (no spaces or quotations, with the exact same capitalization) followed by the payment method used: Crypto or Other. In the message of the email, give any additional information to help track your order like the time the order was placed, the exact amount, transaction ID, etc… We may reply to you, but in most circumstances, the situation will resolve and the confirmation email will automatically be sent to you once the account is created. If you do not receive the confirmation email or a response from us in two business days, please send a new email and verify that you followed the directions above.
